First, you have to take a bath or wash your face thoroughly, removing any dirt and oil that may be trapped in your skin. Secondly, you have to use a toner to help the application of make up and to balance out skin. This works well if suffering from combination skin. Make sure any make up application brushes or pads are clean from any oil or dirt so as to not transfer them to your face. Once make up has been applied, do not adjust or smear by touching your face with your hands. This will only mess the make up and will transfer oils from your fingers to your face.
